So we're walking down the street in Berkeley last night, and we see this amazingly hot woman -- pink hair, punk look, hard edge, gorgeous -- and![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
someotherguy squeezes my hand, which is our code for "there's a hot woman over there". I look and squeeze back. And I say, "She looks kinda dangerous." And he says, "Yeah, but in a Daphne-Gottlieb way, not a [name of a friend who genuinely scares us] way, right?" Oh, yes. Correct. (We like final_girl a lot even though we don't really know her. We've read her stuff, and seen her read, and we have agreed before that she seems to be, in someotherguy's words, "the good kind of dangerous".)
2.someotherguy has come up with a collective noun for fundamentalists: A clench. I love it.
3. There was a third thing I was gonna post. I couldn't remember it last night, but I remembered it a few minutes ago, and now it's out of my head. *sigh*
4. I finally watched "Truly, Madly, Deeply," atintenselaura's recommendation ("If you don't like Alan Rickman after seeing this movie, you just don't like him.") and "My Neighbor Totoro" at stonebender's recommendation ("If you don't like anime after seeing this movie, I will stop recommending anime movies to you at all.") Well, I liked both movies just fine (the former a lot more than the latter), but I still don't care for Rickman or anime. Oh, well. I was hoping I would.
5.sogwife is employed! Yay! This will solve so many things, including the living-together situation, I think, because she will be spending part of the week here and part up north where she works.

7.loracs rocks. She can write an indignant letter with the best of them.
8. I have a little crush on the geek at work. Just a little one, but it's nice to know my crush mechanism isn't *completely* broken. (Haven't really crushed out on anyone sincekightp and intenselaura hit my radar a few years ago.)
9. If I'm not working this coming week, I'm gonna try to go to San Diego to see my family. They're having a hell of a time, and I hope to be of some help. Oh, yes, tension in my shoulders at the thought. Yippee.
Off to my last day at my really cool job. Have a wonderful Friday.
