more Ikea training Monday. San Diego Tuesday through Thursday. Ikea shift

But don't use your employee discount to buy stuff for people who don't live with you - my sister was fired because she used her discount to buy our furniture when we moved.

Yeah, I'm kind of anal-girl about following such rules. I have a solid line for things that constitute "real crime", and it includes taking anything that's not mine. I plan to share your horror story with my cow-irkers. :-)

Good idea. My sister wasn't very happy because she was clashing with her manager. I think this was the "straw that broke the camel's back" for them.

*nodnod* Makes sense. The trainer made a big deal about loss-prevention stuff, of course. The funniest moment for me, though, was when he got to the Violence In The Workplace section. "Um, don't hit each other, 'kay?"
