Worked both jobs today. Not as exhausted as I expected to be, but I will likely sleep in tomorrow (and by that I mean I will wait for my feet to stop pounding in pain and then I will sleep for as long as my hips will let me -- what a drag it is getting old, she sings in mock exasperation and did I mention I'm tired?) I am working full-time all weekend, so I expect to spend a lot of time being tired and/or sleeping.

My adorable spice (two of them, anyway) played chauffeur for me today so that I would be able to work 8-12 at UC Berkeley and still get to Ikea on time. I am learning to let people take care of me from time to time, and it feels kind of good.

Concerned about the Supreme Court; mildly sad about Luther Vandross; really grateful to my mom for fixing my computer. I would love to hear how y'all's day went. Anyone?

My day.

Was supposed to be "light" at work today.

Was a madhouse, instead. But I got through it And had a rather nice time here at home with a very nice fellow (who just left for home).

All in all, I've had a very nice day.

Seester! I had three both-jobs days this week. Both-jobs days are generally write-offs, so I didn't get much useful done till Friday...

I was going to say that I love both-job days, but then I realized that gigs go much easier if I'm not teaching on the same day. What I love about both-day jobs is the income!

I keep wanting to ask if you've got a really good pair of shoes, considering how much time you're spending on your feet. Since I don't work on my feet I don't have any recommendations or personal testimony about how much difference a great pair of shoe makes (though buying good quality shoes when I started including a 2-mile walk as a regular part of my commute is, in my experienced opinion, one of the best things I ever did.)

Hope (by the time you read this) you've had an excellent sleep-in.
