Jul. 12th, 2005 05:54 pmIt's been such a very difficult week. Too many hours at work, too many personal-life snafus, too little sleep/exercise/sex/money.
But I grabbed me some joy on my day off.
Slept in a bit. Watched much Firefly with
stonebender. Ate lovely pizza that
loracs made, and that I stole out of her fridge, along with some potstickers. (Note to
kightp: It was pretty good with her homemade vinaigrette on it.) Talked to
sogwife on the phone for a quick connect. Walked with
someotherguy to our favorite food-porn shop, the Berkeley Bowl, and got fruits and veggies and brie and jarlsberg and good salami and anchovy paste and good croutons and, for him, some raspberry lindt chocolate, and for me, some sparkling lemonade.
Had for dinner a lovely caesar salad and a plate of abundance: apricots, apples, asian pears, bananas, strawberries, avocados, brie, salami -- it was a feast, and I really enjoyed it. I think that tomorrow we may get stuff for enchiladas and make them up, but not bake them until I get home so we can avoid heating up the house during the day. Yes, having good food in the house keeps me from feeling impoverished. I'm just gonna go with that.
And so far, notwithstanding the fact that I accidentally threw away my paycheck, nothing has bounced, thanks to a cash infusion from
sogwife, who rocks.
