Orphans' Thanksgiving
Oct. 4th, 2005 03:58 pm[copied in email to some folks -- I apologize for the LJ tags in email]
So we (
someotherguy,
sogwife and I) have decided to do Orphans' Thanksgiving again this year. Possibly with
golden_c_turtle, but we're not sure about that yet. (If you're unaware of the concept, Orphans' Thanksgiving is for people who have no family nearby, or no one to spend Thanksgiving with, or just prefer to come hang out with the freaks who frequent our place.)
We are also not sure where it will be, but I'll let you know when we do, and it's certain to be in the East Bay. Anyway, you and your loved ones are welcome. RSVP is helpful, but not required, and we have a more-the-merrier attitude about this thing. There will be turkey and possibly a ham, along with tons of vegetarian and vegan options. If there's something that just screams Thanksgiving to you, feel free to bring it, or tell us about it and we'll try to provide it. If you have dietary restrictions, let us know and we will do our best. Dinner will probably be around 3 (my family tradition), with leftovers and pie and games into the night.
More info to follow when we have it, but I thought you'd want to know in case you wanted to make plans this year.
