A few more things.

My mom rocks. She's helping out with apc, and she's so excited to be
seeing me. I love and miss her so much.

For the last half-hour or so, I have been unexplainably weepy -- I'm not
unhappy, so I have to assume it's that I'm dead tired and just generally
wiped. If no one shows for the thing tonight, I may just bail early. May
need a night under the covers.

I've been borrowing [livejournal.com profile] loracs/[livejournal.com profile] stonebender/[livejournal.com profile] dbubley's car for the last (?) months. Yesterday, it went kablooie
on me. I feel terrible when something that's not mine gets broken in my
care, but I did my best to not freak out, and I'll pay for the damage,
whatever it is. I'm just glad it was daylight and I had my shoes on.

I love working at UCB; have I mentioned that?

If you ever need a lift anywhere, please give me a call, ok?

Thank you so so so much! I may take you up on it, but I have to say that I'm less likely to do so here than I would've been in San Diego -- there's such good public transport here, and I work so close to home, that I can do almost everything on the bus or the BART (besides all the walking we already do, of course).

I know how you feel about things in your care, but I wouldn't worry about it. You're okay, and everything else can be fixed easily enough, or even discarded if necessary (which I seriously doubt is necessary.) We've got a great mechanic, if and when he has time. Besides it'll probably give me an excuse to get out and visit with his mother.

I feel lucky to have you guys in my life. Still, I hope it's nothing, or something small (and I'll confess I hope it's nothing I did wrong).

You couldn't do worse than I did to that car. I rear ended somebody and totaled it. I really did damage, and Kris brought it back to life.
