1) To my new friend who has comments disabled: You are not alone. I
don't know you well, but I think you can count on me as a friend. I'm
sorry you feel so alone. I hope, too, that you will continue making the
effort to love others and be there for them, and that they will for you.
Breaking up is famously good at making people feel worthless; it will not
last forever, and I am here if you want to talk.

2) Spending the day at [livejournal.com profile] stonebender's. Nice. Food and sex and
a walk and ice cream and more food. And new music. And old favorite
music. Pretty much the perfect combo of stuff. Mondays have always been
my favorite days.

3) Wednesday night, at [livejournal.com profile] golden_c_turtle's place in Oakland.
Games and food and laughing. Bring snacks if you like, and games, if you
like, but we're planning to play Scattergories for sure. If you hate
Scattergories, you have our permission to play something else after you've
humored us. :-) 7pm-10pm. Please come. Also, if you have a snack
request, I am amenable to making you your most perfect snack food.
Spinach dip? Brie with fruit? Bean dip and Fritos? Gimme an idea; I'm
in an indecisive place.

4) John Prine is a god.

So this is what my brain did, because I was reading this during a coughing spell.

Poetry nights are out for the rest of the year and a bit into the next (depending). Just got a part time night job to augment the new FT day job, and to not have to worry about the holidays.

It's just temporary, mindless work, but it's cash in the pocket, which is REALLY needed right now.

I would tend to agree with you on #4 Haven't heard his music in way too long. Need to look into getting some.

Game night sounds so fun but just too hard to do it on a week night *pout* Hope all have lots of fun.

I'll second (or third) that John Prine is god. How can you not love a man that comes up with a lyric like "there's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes" and his "Dear Abby" song.

Still not sure about Wednesday night, but I surely don't know where [livejournal.com profile] golden_c_turtle lives or what time. Email me?
