1. It is wise not to try to predict how I will feel about new things.
2. It is also wise to have plans for how to deal with things if they're not as I like them.
3. How to arrange my life so that I have more time and still have enough money.
4. That fascism sometimes comes carrying a cross and waving a flag.
5. There are more things I want to do than I will ever have the time and energy to do, and that's okay.

-- 5 personally significant events of 2005 --
1. Became carless and discovered I really like it.
2. Got back into professional copyediting, and love it.
3. Visited the Cheese Board for the first time (

klwalton will appreciate that this is a significant event)
4. Made peace with my family-of-origin situation.
5. Began seeing live theater again, after years of not doing so.

-- 5 things i want to do in 2006 --
1. find a happy volunteering situation
2. continue to have enough time at home
3. find a way to make enough money from home that I can do it full-time, or find a dream job that makes me happy enough not to mind being away from home
4. improve my health
5. be authentic

1. be hard on myself
