weird habits
Jan. 31st, 2006 02:56 pmYou know that weird-habits thing that was going around? I couldn't think
of many that I hadn't already talked about here, but I just did one that
I haven't done in a long time, and I thought I'd post about it.
Since I was a teenager, I've done this strange thing where I write the
initial letters of a song, but write each phrase as a word. For example,
"Oh say does that star-spangled banner yet wave / o'er the land of the
free / and the home of the brave?" would come out as this, in cursive:
Osdtsbyw otlotf athotb? I would just sit doing that with songs, as though
I were doodling. And the fun part was later, when I would try to read
"Osdtsbyw otlotf athotb?" and try to decide what song I was writing.
Right now, on my scratch pad on my desk, is "wyltbapt", and though I wrote
it five minutes or so ago, I have no idea what song was going through my
head at the time. Hmm.
A real common one in the day was "Awasigpac". Any guesses?
