Feb. 15th, 2006 10:54 pmSuch a busy day. After laundry, came home and cleaned some and did a bit of furniture-moving in anticipation of bulky-trash pickup, but didn't do as much as we'd hoped, and didn't get the laundry put away. Oh, well. Then the fabulous
berkeleyfarm was kind enough to come over and shower us with lemon curd in exchange for lemons from

dbubley's tree. Just you wait,
loracs, you're gonna die! Then we watched a couple episodes of South Park. I'm a latecomer to the phenomenon, and I just fucking love this show. Then I made manicotti for tomorrow (I have an hour between work and spoken-word, and I wanted to have it tomorrow rather than waiting until next time I have time, which would be Friday or Saturday -- fresh mushrooms don't stay good forever. So now it's in the fridge and all
someotherguy has to do is pop it in the oven an hour before I get home. Yay. I'll post pics in the next post if I am able to keep my eyes open for a while.
Did a little job-hunting today. Made myself stop before it got too stressful. As usual, if you know of a good job in the East Bay with benefits for a hippychick who types 90wpm and has a few years of document prep experience (writing, copyediting, document QA, transcription, etc.), lemme know.
So happy I got a day to just hang out with
someotherguy. It's been a while, and it's something that helps me deal with stress. He has this immense calming influence on me, and after the week I had last week, calming is good.
My brother-in-law is out of the hospital (quadruple bypass). My mom sounds relatively calm. The munchkins have finally gone back to school. Maybe I can breathe for a little while now.
In other news, I've decided to stop doing the spoken-word thing after the beginning of March, but I'll make a longer post of that when I have some energy.
