Because of this post on rec.food.cooking, I decided I needed to make salted angel's cake.

[Edit: the author forgot to add that there is about 70-80g of fontina cheese, diced, in the filling.)

So far, we've got the dough ball rising:

Wow! Minus the ham (which makes my Jewish stomach cringe, unlike bacon which makes my mouth water), it sounds fantastic. What a cool concept.

I chose to substitute salami (I hate ham), but I imagine any filling would work. Some people on the group are using other things. We'll see how it goes.
