I comfort my nagging work ethic by telling it that even when I'm just
staring off into space, as long as I answer the phone or serve people who
come to the desk, I'm doing my job, the job they're paying me for.

Which is a good thing, because other than answering the phone and
daydreaming about my new garden, I've done precisely jack shit today.
