My umpteenth post already

Oh, and I forgot to mention that I will not have a computer, a cell phone,
or a camera with me when I go to Tokyo. I will be really roughing it,
technology-wise. I'm sort of looking forward to it, but I will probably go
through email withdrawals, and I shudder to think how long it will take me
to get caught up on LJ.

I will likely keep a paper journal, and if I can find something cheap enough, I may call in a phone post or two.

People have looked *horrified* when I've told them I'm not taking a camera, but I find that taking pictures removes me from an experience, so I'm skipping that.

You could always not take pictures yourself, but occasionally pass the camera to other people so you would have at least a few pictures of you in Tokyo.

Yeah, and it's not like there aren't a ton of pictures from Japan anyway. You could always borrow someone else's.

Me too. If I want some mementos of locations, I buy a few postcards of the things I've seen. I don't particularly care about having any pictures of me in said places.

Internet cafes are not hard to find, and I don't recall them being especially expensive. What's expensive is the tea or coffee you buy to get the internet usage ...

You could grab a disposable camera to take if you decide you want one, and if you don't use it, no real loss.
