I think that your educators could learn a lot from Health at Every Size, http://haescommunity.org/
Not all fat people are unhealthy. Not all fat people want (or need) to lose weight. Diets don't work. EVERYONE can take steps to be healthier, even if they don't lose weight.
And most of all, if I tell a provider that I'm not interested in dieting or weight loss, and she continues to, more than a dozen times, congratulate me on weight loss that I have told her a dozen times was not intentional, and that I don't think I should be congratulated for it, then she's not only misinformed; she's rude.
