Aug. 27th, 2006 12:52 amPossibly the funniest thing I saw all day, and definitely funnier than the flying lawnmower, is new Hugo winner John Scalzi's daughter ummm... visiting some wrath on someone because of his views on the Pluto Issue.
Did some work today, but not as much as planned. It was really hard to get going. Writing for other people's purposes is hard on me intellectually and emotionally (I'm doing some marketing writing, working on some brochures for a consulting firm). Also did some writing on the poems-for-hire project. Feeling like a writer today. A lazy writer, but still.
And feeling really loved. Also a lot of other things, like peaceful, burned out (just a bit), hermitty, and easily distracted. It's amazing how attractive housework looks when I've got real work waiting on me.
