Sure it is. And some meat really is murder, and some polyamory is better than monogamy for the people involved. I'm personally infuriated by the straight couples who figure that an FMF threesome cannot possibly entail any emotional consequences, because *of course* the girls are just there to turn the guy on more, and that any lesbian or bisexual woman would be thrilled to hop in bed with them. I have spoken passionately and in public about the attitude that same sex-relationships (especially lesbian ones) don't count -- hell, take a look at my LJ.
But I am also bisexual, and so is my female lover. She is married, but neither she nor I considers our relationship some kind of fantasy icing on the cake of relationships with people whose penises are original equipment instead of aftermarket. The reason I don't just go over to the Dyke Side, much as I love and need women, much as I value female culture, much as my life is really built around women -- is that I also love a man. And I refuse to pretend that I don't, any more than I will refuse to pretend that I don't love a woman.
I will not deny my own reality. And that reality is bisexual.
