Craft night at Serene's starting Monday, October 23rd

Craft night is back at our little hobbit hole. I provide the seats, the
tables, some general crafting stuff, and some snacks/drinks (and you're
welcome to share whatever we're having for dinner). You bring something
to work on, or do the crafts I set out, as you like. This time, I've got
paintable ornaments and some paints -- they're not specifically Xmassy,
most of them, so you can make Samhain ornaments for all I care. :-)

All forms of crafting are welcome, and men, women, and people of other
genders are encouraged to join us. I'm just learning to knit, so if
you're willing to help me with my beginning knitting projects, even
better.

• When: 2nd and 4th Monday nights, 6pm-9pm, beginning 10/23/06
  
• Where: North Oakland -- send me email for directions if you don't
  already know them (Sadly, our home is not wheelchair accessible -- stay
  tuned for our bad-movie parties at stonebender's at some point,
  where it *is* accessible)
  
• RSVP: unnecessary

Some crash space is available if we know you. Invite anyone you know and
like.

Children are welcome, and they will be expected to amuse themselves with
the crafts provided, bring their own crafts, or be entertained by the
folks what brung 'em.

Cool. I emailed jwermont, too. We have a more quilt-friendly table, now, if she's still doing quilting. :-)

jwermont forwarded the email to me. She's not sure it makes sense for her to come, because she has a job (yay!) on the Peninsula (boo!) and can't get to your house until 8pm. But I'll let her know about the quilt-friendly table :-)

Okey-doke, and if y'all (or any subset of y'all) think you'd wanna go later than 9, I'm up for anything as late as 10:30 or so, if it means seeing her -- otherwise, maybe we can plan to get together on a weekend or something at some point. I'll send her an email.

This is a godsend. I've had two blankets that I sleep with every night in sore need of a lot of repair, but haven't been able to bring myself to sit down all by my lonesome to do it.
