I did fifteen minutes of contract work (it was less work than the client thought, but it was an easy ten dollars); washed maybe five dishes; applied for unemployment; put out the trash; and otherwise spent the entire day goofing off. Played a lot of Snood, chatted a lot, caught up some on Usenet (including my new group, alt.tv.lost), set up Trillian, ate trashy food, listened to the upstairs neighbors' live-folk-music party (yay!), watched half of an extremely bad movie, and spent the day telling
someotherguy how perfect he is.
I am a lucky person.
Oh, and woe is me -- we had to upgrade our cable internet connection. Our download speed went from 6 to 8Mbps, and uploads went from 384Kbps to 768 (the upload speed was what
someotherguy needed more of for his work project). I feel so rich, never mind the whole unemployment thing.
