My hair was down to my waist last year. I was afraid to cut it because it was like a security blanket, but I felt so good after my haircut! It was a cathartic experience for me. I had a lot of folks asking why I didn't donate to Locks of Love. (Answer: The charities are already so overloaded with donations, they end up selling most of the hair to commercial wigmakers. Also, people who wear hairpieces prefer synthetic because it's easier to care for.)

Oh, it was pulled forward in preparation for cutting it (I did it myself by hacking it off in the front), and I think the expression is "James caught me by surprise." :-)

Didn't see this before, but it looks wonderful! How are you with it now? No regrets? It was long!!!!

It looks like it's around my length now, and this is the longest I ever had my hair, even as a child. I like it, but I'm not sure how long I will let it grow eventually.
