Oct. 30th, 2006 09:00 amNot doing NaNo this year, and it's because of the seitan simmering on my stove.
No, really.
What's important to me right now is to get my home-based business healthy enough so that I can work at home permanently.
That's more important to me than writing a novel. More important to me than having lots of social time. More important to me than having lots of sleep or free time or even sex.
Okay, maybe not sex. But still.
Right now is not the time to take all my attention away from this really important project in my life. I want to make it so that every Monday, I can be sitting here at my computer with yummy food simmering on the stove, here in my life where I wanna be.
For those of you who *are* gonna write a novel next month, I say: Rock on!

Date: 2006-10-30 07:02 pm (UTC)I should be at craft night on the 13th, but a little company sooner might be fun, too. I just don't want to go inviting myself over all lickety split, though you are very welcome here (we had a housewarming party, but this place is never warmed enough).

Date: 2006-10-30 07:07 pm (UTC)2) Thank you for saying the 13th, as it made me realize I'd said the wrong date in a prior post.
3) You should come over *any time*. I don't go out all that much, and I like it that way, so I'm not promising I'll reciprocate *soon*, but I'll eventually wanna check out your new digs. :-)
4) If you don't have my number still, I'll email it to you, and you can call to make sure we're here, or just drop by if you happen to be passing our way. We love drop-in guests (and overnight guests, and dinner guests, and...)
