Quoting [livejournal.com profile] pantryslut:

I kind of like the Incendiary Food Log project (aka [info]incendiaryfood), which was started by [livejournal.com profile] fearfuloptimist. I found it via [livejournal.com profile] amarama. Go read why we're all doing this; the nutshell is (my paraphrase, obviously): let's not be ashamed of what we eat, no matter what it is. Let's be aware of what we put in our mouths. Let's share.

I haven't eaten yet (the breakfast-is-the-most-important-meal-of-the-day folks always tut at me), but I'll edit this post as I go about my day, and I'll update at bedtime.

Squash salad (kind of like potato salad, but with leftover winter squash that [livejournal.com profile] loracs offered me)
Potato chips and tortilla chips (mixed up in a bowl)
A couple stolen pieces of [livejournal.com profile] stonebender's peanut brittle
Chorizo and eggs
Water
Pistachios
Chips and dip (dip: goat cheese, caponata, mayo, sour cream)
Hamburger Helper (stroganoff style)
Spinach-onion-goat-cheese scramble
More pistachios. LOTS more.
Hunk of homemade bread

It's interesting the different space my brain goes into when I know I'm going to be writing down what I eat. I approve of awareness, and I have no shame at all over what I eat any more. That's a really good thing to feel. It's good to see that the diet mentality doesn't kick in, but I get uncomfortable anyway, because I'm afraid of my past diet-mind, and I don't ever want to do anything to make myself feel that way again.
