gratitude list
Nov. 22nd, 2006 11:43 pmAs you probably know, most years, I have upwards of a dozen guests for Thanksgiving, and I do all the cooking. This year, I'm making veggies and bread and dessert, and taking them over to
stonebender/
loracs/
dbubley's house for dinner. Well, actually, the bread and dessert are already made, and tomorrow all I have to do is roast the carrots and steam the green beans.
Wow, this is LOTS less tiring. :-)
The (vegan) spice cake just came out of the oven, and man, does my house smell good.
Happy Thanksgiving, to those who celebrate.
Things I'm thankful for, in no special order (not anywhere NEAR a complete list):
My super-duper househusband, who has been going behind me for the past few days, without being asked, and washing dishes.
My KitchenAid mixer, without which making five pounds of bread yesterday would have been a chore.
My family, whose flexibility and goodnaturedness have made this the least stressful Thanksgiving I can remember.
All of you.
