Some few notes

1. Oscar bash was fun, even though the hosts were really dull (in more than one sense of the word).
2. The Best Temp Job Ever is no longer the best (as it's about four hours a month), but I'm here, and I'm happy to be. I like it here.
3. About a month until kevinkjr comes to visit, yay!
4. I'm really liking my job these last few days. The boss and I finally came up with a system of organizing time and tasks that's going to work for both of us, and it's exciting putting that into place. I may be some kind of geek or something.
5. On paper, I have a ton of money. In reality, I have $2.57 in the bank. Look for rice and seitan if you're dropping by for dinner this week. :-)

Oh? Do tell!

I got invited to an Oscar-watching gathering - you couldn't exactly call it a "party". There were 4 of us, we had burritos, and then cake & ice cream, and it was mostly an excuse to hang out together and make jokes. I am now very interested in seeing the movie Pan's Labyrinth, which I hadn't even heard of before seeing the show. And Babel is now at the top of my Netflix queue!

We went to The Cerrito (http://www.picturepubpizza.com) for their Oscar bash. They had cheesy hosts, food and drinks, and a fun crowd. When Celine Dion started singing, everyone used their complimentary noisemakers, and one woman up front lit her lighter, Freebird-style.
