I was pigeon-toed too! Or rather, half pigeon-toed. One of my legs was straight, but the other was turned in at about a 45-degree angle at my hip. My doctor said that I would outgrow this on my own without surgery. He was half correct: My leg did correct itself on its own, but by the time it had corrected itself, my spine had curved to compensate for the angled foot. So now I have a permanently curved spine. It's only mildly curved, though, so it hasn't caused any problems, other than making my mother feel irrationally guilty because she thinks she should have known to prevent it somehow.
