601. Do you have a lust for life?

Yep. Life is my fucktoy, as a matter of fact.

Sure!

Convert to Buddhism? Nope.

Cure a hangover? Sure, but only so I could help other people. My hangover cure is to never get drunk. (Just sipped, ba-dum-bum.)

Hmmmmm. Dunno. I'll have to ask rmjwell (special request, RJ: Don't make it a Kathy Najimy character. I'm so tired of being compared to her, even though I do think I have some qualities of her Hocus Pocus character.)

605. Are you comfortable with the idea of your own death?

NO! In fact, I spend way too much time being really frustrated and helpless about that. I don't *want* to die, dammit, and it bugs me (that's an understatement) that there's not a damned thing I can do about it.

606. How do you feel about arranged marriages?

You mean like feng shui? (I'm not in favor of them, but I think that's because I was raised in a culture that doesn't really understand them or favor them.)

What an odd question. A highway, I guess, at least perceptually.

I don't have one favorite, but I have several I watch over and over: Fried Green Tomatoes, Bull Durham, the BBC version of Hitchhiker, the Tales of the City miniseries...

Which one has the best chance of living a long, happy life? I'll say a minstrel, just because I do love singing and performing.

I'm not sure I am an especially interesting person, and I don't mean that to be self-depracating. I think some people are interested in some details of my life (I'm bi and poly and an atheist), but I don't think that interest is necessarily about me. I'm not really sure. (Coming back to answer this after answering #625. I do think that my enthusiasm for stuff interests some people.)

625. What makes other people interesting to you?

Their passions. Their enthusiasm. Stuff they know that I don't. Their musical talent. Their writing talent.

More than when I was younger, but still not as open as I wish I were.

He's African-American (black), and I think this question is ignorant and repulsive.

No, almost never.

In the sense of "was perceived as a threat by", yes, but not in the sense of "made threats toward".

Head only. Of course, I don't have to choose, and I'm really glad I don't.

Not very.

Lately, tense, but on average over the years, so laid back that if I were calmer, I'd be comatose.

It's a mixture of those two things, but I confess it's hard for me to sustain being happy around unhappy people.

In a weird, twisted way, yes.

I haven't read all of these (will probably go back and do so at some point when I start posting mine again), but read this one - Olivia Newton-John movies! Yes! I own "Xanadu" and "Grease", although I don't own that strange one she did with John Travolta after "Grease" (title eludes me right now), though I do have the soundtrack on record back in Wisconsin.

I also love "The Sound of Music." It's in my Top 10.

the character that immediately came to mind is Jill (Goldie Hawn) in "Butterflies Are Free." She's a little kooky (it was played by Goldie, after all), free spirit, with the ability to see the positive side of life even when shitty things are happening, liberated (a little dated with the concept, it was released in 1972)woman. I think the tag line for the movie was something like "Take the time to smell the flowers."
