Plans change

sereneTotal change of plans:
Mom has to have surgery tomorrow. It's big surgery, the kind that made her want to die last time, so I'm heading down there next week so I can be with her when she gets out of the hospital. I wish I could go sooner, but I have dental surgery myself on the 2nd. (Which of course means I *could* go sooner, but I probably shouldn't, since the mouth inflammation is hindering my doctor's ability to diagnose the other inflammation stuff in my body.)
I don't think I'm going to be able to cope with throwing the barbecue this weekend, so I'll need to write to all the neighbors and cancel and stuff. And I'll have two fewer weeks in which to get caught up enough at work to take 2 months off. And then some time this summer, I have to be radioactive.
I'm probably forgetting something, but that's the major stuff.

someotherguy to San Diego so we don't have to fly or rent a car? ;-)
