sereneOh, and not that this will surprise anyone, but here's how the conversation went with The Best Grandboss Ever today:
Me: If it would be okay, could I move my furlough to start next week? My mom's in the hospital.
Her: Of COURSE! You can go tomorrow if you need to.
Me: Well, I can't, really, because I have surgery on the 2nd.
Her: Well, that's a good thing for my sake, but you go when you need to go. I'll put in the paperwork right away.
