By far the most consistently interesting and thought-provoking feed on my LJ is for [livejournal.com profile] body_impolitic (I'm not dissing other feeds you all might find better or chewier or whatever; tell 'em to me in comments so I can share!). Debbie and Laurie consistently look at current events around the body in ways that are new-to-me if not entirely new, and I really like what it does to my head. This week is no exception.

Thanks for the pointer. I met Laurie in the dealers' room at Wiscon, and I love her work, in all media.

*Raises eyebrow and chuckles* The minute you said Laurie, I kinda suspected that you meant Laurie Toby Edison.

I dated her daughter Shayin many years ago. Both of them are incredible women. *quiet smile*

When it comes through as a feed, it's just text, yes? I'd like to be reading that, but I've been concerned about having the graphics from the site pop up on my screen at work, where I do sometimes read LJ... But if it's a feed, and if I don't click through to the site itself -- just words, yes?

I have the feed on my friendslist, and the pictures do show up. If you want just the text, you'd have to use an RSS reader that doesn't show you the pictures.
