sereneMy house is a wreck, my family of origin is 500+ miles away in either direction, and I just had cancer surgery. That said, you'll forgive me if I feel completely contented and fulfilled right now. I'm cleaning my house in tiny little bursts, which makes me happy. I talked with everyone in my family who was home to be talked to, and that made me happy. I have enough food to eat and partners who love me. Richard Shindell writes a kick-ass folk ballad. My friends love and care about me. My friendslist is full of gratitude and love. I am NOT working for pay today unless I feel like it. I have a cute, squishy "tumor ball" to play with (thanks to ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
loracs). I am drawing my friendship and conversational boundaries like a grown-up.
Basically, the important stuff is all there, and the annoying stuff is just details. Can't think of any better way to spend Thanksgiving.
