Just so you know? Roasted leeks are like *candy*.

Carrots, 14 oz.
Walnuts, 8 oz.
Green garlic, 4 oz.
Potatoes, 2lbs., 2 oz.
Broccoli, 11 oz.
Navel oranges, 3.5 pounds
Radicchio, 14 oz.
Dino Kale, 7 oz.
Cauliflower, 22 oz.

Just now using up the last of last week's box (roasting beets, cauliflower-that-I-thought-was-cabbage, and leeks). We'll see how it goes. We've already eaten two of the oranges and two of the carrots as snacks.

The idea of signing up with them is looking better and better.

(I would start with the baby box and see how I work though it.)

Was it a green cauliflower, or just complete with its leaves?

If you'd gotten the small box, you would have gotten the same as us except for no radicchio/kale/cauliflower. If we'd gotten the large box, we would have also gotten leeks, chard, and blood oranges. I think when I have money, if we seem to be using all the produce, I'll upgrade. I like variety.

The cauliflower was just hidden by its leaves, and in there with an actual cabbage, so I just assumed they were all cabbages, since I had forgotten to grab my newsletter, so I didn't have a list of what was in there.

Radicchio!!! I am so jealous.

Leeks, cooked in any manner, are like candy for me. Yum!

The navel oranges from a variety of sources have been really good lately. We go through probably about 4-5 pounds of citrus a week, in addition to the 3lbs or so of bananas and a couple pounds of apples. And that's just the fruit! We chew through produce here like nobody's business and S. is only 18 months old. I think we are going to have to open our own farm by the time he and his yet-to-be-conceived future sibling get to be teenagers.

ooooooh leeeks!

I am gonna start leek seeds this weekend. They won't be Leeks To Eat till about fall, but oh god, leeks are like sex. Really good and make me happy and can be enjoyed so many ways.

My housemate put in chard and also some cute little onionz. We are making food! Not a lot, but dude, fresh food. And leeks.

I am so glad your organic box is happy making. Serenes should be happy!
