So tired this week. Getting around ten hours of sleep a night and still not catching up. Pretty sure it's the thyroid thing; pretty sure from what research I've done (support group, web, etc.) there's not much to do but sleep a lot and mention it to my doctor next time around. I'm already having my levels checked monthly, and I'm doing well. Bah. Damn bodies.





Pretty happy this week, but the tiredness takes a toll. Luckily for me, one of my contract gigs was pushed to the end of next week, so I have some time to recover before things get hectic again. Also, I had all but decided to stop fooling myself about keeping a garden, but at the last minute, I renewed, and that made me feel hopeful and joyful, so I think it was the right thing. I've had a rough year, so I don't need to beat myself up for neglecting the garden -- I can just get back on the horse, as it were.





Notwithstanding the brain fog that comes with thyroid suppression, I've been feeling like my brain is happy and challenged lately. I learned a new job, got more work in my chosen field, and am wrapping my brain around learning PHP. Happy brain is busy brain. Sadly, the brain fog puts some limits on how busy my brain can be, but I'm learning to just take it as it comes, and that's okay for now.





Still hermitty. Still don't really have the social energy to see people very much, and really glad I have friends who understand that. Trivia night just about knocked me out this week, and I don't plan to do it again this coming Monday, but possibly the Monday after that.

yay, garden! even if i don't do much with it, whatever little thing i do returns me so much joy -- growing stuff is just way cool.

The garden actually surprised me with how much joy it gives me for the buck, as it were. In San Diego, to get one tomato cost me tens of dollars and gallons of water. Here, things grow so easily that people *give* me the plant starts, and I barely need to water for at least half the year.

Two years ago, twostepsfwd gave me a strawberry plant that is *still* thriving in my garden. That's so amazing to me.
