Speaking of my garden, I have now got lettuce sprouts, and beans, and carrots where there were none a few weeks ago (from seed -- so exciting!). Also, the strawberries and purple cauliflower are doing really well, and the tomato seems to be doing fine.

i don't have a back porch, only a front one, so technically i could, but the neighbors would have access to them too...i'm not sure i trust them just yet. haha.

DS#1 and I tried to grow carrots in a deep pot last year (since the area surrounding the house is still near-wilderness). No luck(they never got bigger than about an inch long). And the squirrels ate all the pumpkins (those were in the ground in a small area I have prepped). I really hope this year is better.

I love seeing things come from seed too. It's especially satisfying, isn't it?
