sereneI do know it's crazy, but I get a day like today, where my only obligation is to myself, and I can just putter around my house, making pancakes and doing laundry and stuff, and I find my center again. I have such a good life. I get in this total zone where everything is beautiful.
Silly example: I was filling the pitcher to add the rinse water to my laundry tub, and I was just overcome by how lucky I am that I can afford to just run gallons of water out of a tap in my kitchen -- hell, I could even just pour a gallon down the drain if I want, not that I want to -- and there are so many people in the world for whom just a cup of clean water, clean enough to drink, would feel like a miracle.
