cooking communities

hitchhiker started a community that I think's a good idea, so I'm over there at
simple_gourmet reading and posting recipes for things that seem like they'd be difficult to cook, but they're not. Check it out if that sounds good to you.
Also, I now have a new camera and a borrowed tripod, so I may be posting more to the other food places I like (most of which don't get very many posts, and I'd like them to get more):

I can't bear
cooking or
food_porn any more -- they've turned into places to post your crappy cellphone pictures of the Kraft mac-n-cheese you made last night -- but the ones I've listed are still decent food communities, even the ones that aren't super-busy.

But apparently variations are all over the internet, so you'll probably never know the "original" source, nor, I guess, does it really matter :).
