Yeah, the teenager is starting 11th grade tomorrow. Can't tell I'm excited, can you? Here's her first lunch (there will also be cake, but I haven't baked that yet). She LOVES apples, so I may also put another apple in there.

I'm hopeless. :-)

(I'm making two batches of cake: One that's chocolate, because wtfpotatoes doesn't like chocolate, and I think someotherguy deserves cake. The other one is a batch of cherry upside-down cupcakes. My own recipe. Hope they come out. If not, I'm gonna make more cake, because hey, my kid wants cake, and it's her last day of summer, and by not-god, she's gonna get cake. :-)

I hope she has a wonderful day and school year! And how wonderful that you're excited and making special stuff for her, not that that would exactly surprise anyone at this point. :-) BTW, the older of my two teenagers (though the year of my being able to say I have two teenagers only has about a month left to go) doesn't like chocolate either.

I hope the first day of school went well. I moved around a fair bit as a kid, so I know a new school can be somewhat anxiety producing.

Lunch looks yummy. School here started two weeks ago and I'm already out of ideas. Unfortunately DS#1 is 7 and doesn't eat a wide variety of things that are cold.
