For me:

Babbling and crying on someone who cares
Time alone
Finding a way to do what I can to make things better
Sincere apologies from people who have hurt me
Long walks
Moving ("the geographical cure" -- I know it doesn't work for everyone, but it works for me)

What things make everything better for you?

Hm.

Dale patting my hair and saying, "There, there," in soothing tones.
Carbohydrates.
Old comfortable books that I can sink into.
New books (new to me; can be second-hand).

(Actually, those things work a lot of the time, but I haven't yet found anything that makes "everything" better.)

Yeah. For me, the "everything" wasn't "all things at all times", but "the whatever-it-is-that's-bothering-me-this-time", so what makes "everything" go away this time will be different next time.
