Yesterday really alternated between great and awful. Work was great; home was awful (don't hear me say that much, do you?); getting together with [livejournal.com profile] bastette_joyce and [livejournal.com profile] firecat for Joyce's birthday was great; being utterly depleted/defeated by the end of the day was awful. But then I shook myself out of my terrible funk, wrote to my bosses and told them I'm staying home today, and went and wrapped myself up in my boyfriend and went to sleep.

Funny thing about sleep. When I get enough, I wake up in the morning and things aren't so yucky.

How's with you? Anyone have any exciting weekend plans? We're doing game night tonight, then I have birthday-hanging-out plans tomorrow with [livejournal.com profile] stonebender and Sunday with [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy.

I'll be mostly spending this weekend fulfilling chores and obligations. This afternoon when I get off work I go get my periodic free tire rotation on my car (saves me $26 on servicing costs). After that, home to work as much as possible on vocal arrangements of five songs (I'm WAY behind on this task) while doing laundry at the same time. Wife is spending the night elsewhere so I'll likely be sleeping alone this eve. Performance to direct tonight, then tomorrow to the car dealer by 7am to get intermediate service and another small problem looked at. Rest of Saturday to be spent on more vocal arranging, then another show in the evening. Early church day Sunday, more vocal arranging afterward, then a show in the afternoon, and after that (hopefully) finish up all vocal arrangements, possibly with the help of my brother.

Yep, I'm pretty packed.

Sleep is amazing, isn't it. DWH has been having awful trouble sleeping for a few weeks now and is very difficult to be around, although at least he knows it and makes an effort not to be a beast.

I'm feeling icky, but hope to feel better enough tomorrow to go to an agility trial with Cash. Only three more left this season, so I hate to miss one. But running when I don't feel well is silly, so I'll decide tomorrow.

this pouty girl won't be pouting tonite, as I'll be at the Monterey Jazz Festival thru Saturday nite, starting tonite.

The world around me seems to have lost much of its colour once again, but I finally have an appointment to meet with the local psych hospital's Mood Disorder Clinic's interdisciplinary assessment team (two weeks from now) and I have hopes that they can help me get things in order before I begin the 2nd half-century of my life. I turn 50 in January, 2010, so I'm allowing some extra time, in case we don't get it right off the bat.

Isn't it amazing how some humans have this Special Healing Ability? ;)
