I really want to go to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass this year if it's not the same weekend as the camping event I'm supposed to go to in October. I missed one where Joan Baez was playing, and I regretted it.

As I said to stonebender just now, "alison krauss, jimmie dale gilmore, emmylou, shawn colvin, odetta (odetta!), carlene carter, jerry jeff walker, ricky skaggs, elvis costello, greg brown, loudon wainright, IRIS DEMENT!!"

I'm either going to go alone, or with folks who don't mind splitting up and doing our own things, because I have eclectic tastes and probably want to wander around following the folks I love best.

It is the same weekend, but you so don't have to go to the camping event. There will be more of those in the spring, and indoor events in the meantime. You should go see/hear your music.

Oh, I didn't mean "supposed to" as in "am obligated to" -- I meant as in "I think that's the day I have this other thing planned, but I don't have my book in front of me". I will probably do the music thing on Friday and Sunday, and do the camping thing on Saturday.

I just checked and my cousin is playing with Bill Evans on Sunday. :)

I am performing at Oktoberfest in the Dimond (http://www.oaklandoktoberfest.com/) that Saturday and I have rehearsal, otherwise I would have wanted to go that day. I would have liked to see Hot Rize and The Del McCoury Band.

Sunday may be a possibility for me, but I really want to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss on Friday and I just don't see how I could make that work.

I'll pass on MC Hammer. ;)
