The FIRST thing, stolen from [livejournal.com profile] autographedcat.

[1] Who was your FIRST prom date?
I never went.

[2] Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
We email once in a great while, and watch each other's livejournals. We haven't spoken on the phone in many years. I would spend more time with him, but there's a fair bit of pain in loving someone, being pretty sure they love you, too, and not being able to really talk about that, or ever do anything about it, so I just stay at a friendly distance most of the time. Except times like now, I guess.

[3] What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
Some horrific concoction we made from all the weird alcohol in my parents' little-used liquor cabinet. Cola and port wine are the only parts I remember, but there was a ton of junk in there. It was vile.

[4] What was your FIRST job?
Babysitting, when I was 9.

[5] What was your FIRST car?
A 1974 Ford Maverick that my mother bought for me when I graduated high school, for $400 she could totally not afford.

[6] Who was the FIRST person to text you today?
Almost certainly [livejournal.com profile] someotherguy. I don't think I got any non-[livejournal.com profile] someotherguy texts today.

[7] Who is the FIRST person you thought of this morning?
[livejournal.com profile] wtfpotatoes.

[8] Who was your FIRST grade teacher?
Mrs. Smiles. Yes, really.

[9] Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
Probably Honolulu. We lived there when I was tiny, and I think our other moves were by car early on.

[10] Who was your FIRST best friend and are you still friends with them?
Tammy Andersen, though I have no idea what her name is now. I know she got married. I haven't heard from her in probably 20 years.

[11] What was your FIRST sport played?
I played baseball. I was pretty good.

[12] Where was your FIRST sleep over?
Probably Tammy's house, but if not, then at my friend Jo's in Spain.

[13] Who was the FIRST person you talked to today?
I thanked the bus driver.

[14] wedding were you in the FIRST time?
I've never been in a wedding, exactly. I stood up for my friend in 1996, but no one was really in the wedding.

[15] What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
Got up long before the alarm because my back was killing me.

[16] What was the FIRST concert you ever went to?
Bob Seger.

[17] FIRST tattoo or piercing?
My mom pierced my ears when I was 7.

[18] FIRST foreign country you went to for vacation?
For vacation? Morocco.

[19] What was your FIRST run in with the law?
I've had one traffic ticket and two fix-it tickets in my life. That's it.

[20] When was your FIRST detention?
What, like after school? Good lord, I don't remember.

[21] What was the FIRST state you lived in?
Connecticut.

[22] Who was the FIRST person to break your heart?
My mother.

[23] Who was your FIRST roommate?
I had the room between two black belts in tae kwon do. One was a perfectly sweet, industrious, mature, well-adjusted woman. The other was a psycho hose beast who accused me of stealing her rabbit-fur blanket when I moved out. Um, no. I was an ethical vegetarian at the time, and she knew it.

[24] Where did you go on your FIRST limo ride?
I don't remember what it was for, isn't that weird? It was my only limo ride, though, and I remember being just severely uncomfortable with the whole master/servant feel of it all.

I had no idea you were so well-traveled, woman! I'm a little jealous.

Hey, my first car was a 1970 Maverick! That's kind of my beef with Palin and McCain... they're giving the word such a negative connotation for me now, but I loved Miravel and drove her into the ground. My parents got her for me, too... $300 in 1980, iirc. My dad parked her in a dicey part of the Mission on the way home, and all her hubcaps got stolen. She was bright red-orange, with these black racing stripes across her read. Lots of people mistook her for a Mustang. I had her for about ten years. I miss her still.

I loved Howard, as well. :-) He was boring tan/brown/whatever, but he worked, and he gave me my first taste of independence.
