1) I forgot to mention what the road trip is about. My mom is having another surgery. We (
someotherguy and I) are heading down to San Diego in a few minutes, and we'll be back late Sunday night. Then I'll head back down when they let her out of the hospital. Busy, busy.
2) My face at rest is slightly sad, so that people occasionally ask me if I'm okay when I'm just hanging out. Lately, though, I'm often listening to my NPR podcasts (or Counting Crows and BLOF) and I keep being told how happy I look. :-)

I actually try to practice a slight smile when at rest. I'm not doing so well with it lately, but it's something I want to cultivate. I think it might help me seem more approachable.

Date: 2008-10-17 05:39 pm (UTC)The hard part is when people react to me like I'm mad and I'm really not. It's a bit more difficult to explain when people are instantly defensive.

Date: 2008-10-26 05:19 am (UTC)My face does the same thing, and I'm sick and tired of the guy (BiteMe-Larry) who always says, "Smile! It can't be that bad.") I finally told him that it is a family trait for gravity to have its way with the women, and the labial folds (in my FACE, out of the gutter people!) are prominent and I'm a bit sensitive about it, so he could knock it off any time now! He hasn't said anything in a while.
Party on.
