Another numbered list; can you see how much brainpower I don't have? :-)
1) Early next month, I have to attend a class on tubal ligation and Essure, even though they've already told me I exceed the weight limit for getting Essure, so ligation's my only sterilization option. Don't get me started on how fucking arbitrary and paternalistic that is. Or maybe yeah, get me started. I could use a chance to use my stompy boots today. Anyway, in a couple weeks, I'll take the class, and then as soon as they let me, I'll get my tubes tied. If you know me, you know this will make me very sad, even though it's exactly what I want to do. Be gentle with me if I get extra misty when we talk about your kids and your pregnancies and your grandkids and just kids in general, 'kay?
2) I'm working on my second website for the month. It's my first PHP/CSS integrated site, and I'm having fun and frustration learning to make the pages do what I want them to. For instance, right now the site works fine in Firefox but is blank in IE. This is just the kind of puzzle I love, until I overdose on frustration and want to quit. :-) Anyway, if you want to help me diagnose it, let me know; otherwise, just hang on a few days and I'll show you the working site. :-)
3)
A: What accessories do you wear every day?
I guess the only thing I wear *every day* is something to hold my hair up. I can't stand having it on my neck. I wear my wedding ring most days, but I'm not religious about it.
B: What is your beauty routine?
Hah. I have a get-clean routine. I wash once or twice a day with fragrance-free soap and shampoo. I occasionally use conditioner, but not always. I brush my hair once a week, whether it needs it or not.
C: What was the last item of clothing (for yourself) that you purchased?
Hmm. With my own money? I think I bought one of the pairs of shoes for me that
someotherguy and I got on my last trip shoe shopping -- he bought the other three pairs. The last clothing shopping I did was on my mother's dime, and I got about ten items for about sixty bucks. She has a store near her called the $5.99-only store, and everything is $5.99 or less. And there's always something in my size. I love that place. I got several skirts and quite a few frilly blouses.
D: Do you use a dresser, closet, or both?
Just about everything is hung in the closet. Exceptions are socks, underpants, and some sex clothes.
E: What type of earrings are in your ears right now?
none. I haven't worn earrings in a very long time.
F: What type of figure do you have?
Pear-shaped. I'm quite fat, and most of my fat is in my belly.
G: Do you wear glasses?
Nope, but in a year or two, they suspect I'll need to.
H: What type of handbag do you carry?
I used to carry just the small red purse
loracs bought me, but then she bought me a backpack, too, and now I carry them both.
I: What is your ideal style?
I like really stereotypically girly stuff -- skirts and dresses and lacy, velvety, touchable fabrics. Batik. Some mix of flowing garments and fitted elegance. Stockings with garters. Princess-wear. I don't feel pretty in pants, so I rarely wear them.
J: What is your favorite brand of jeans?
No clue. I haven't owned a pair of jeans in at least 15 years.
K: Do you wear knee-hi stockings?
Nope.
L: Do you *have* to wear matching lingerie?
Nope.
M: Do you wear makeup?
Nope.
N: Do you wear nightgowns?
Not generally, though I'm wearing one right now, one my mom sent, because I'm out of comfy dresses to hang out in.
O: What outerwear do you put on when going out on a typical winters day?
Usually just a sweatshirt or windbreaker, though I have a proper (if a bit worse for the wear) winter coat.
P: Perfume?
No way, I'm scent-sensitive. Instant headache.
Q: Is your motto "quality over quantity" when it comes to clothing and accessories?
Nope. If I like how it looks, I don't care if it's cheap and will only last a few wearings, or more expensive and built to last.
R: Do you wear rain boots?
No.
S: Do you wear socks or slippers when your feet get cold?

T: Do you have a set of travel luggage?
I have one suitcase, a small one, that meets all my needs. I used it for a three-week trip to Tokyo. I'm a light packer.
U: What is your daily uniform?
On work days, usually a longish skirt and a blouse or t-shirt. Otherwise, usually a short dress or short skirt and blouse.
V: If you are married, did you wear a veil with your wedding dress? If not, how did you do your hair?
I've never had a wedding, though I've been married (not legally, but in reality).
W: Do you wear a watch?
Nope. I use my cellphone to tell the time.
X: What item of clothing always makes you feel beautiful?
The red corset.
Y: What is your favorite type of yarn?
I've never given it a moment's thought, to be honest.
Z: Do you prefer zippers or buttons?
Oh, definitely zippers.
4) Tomorrow, work for a couple hours, then home to cook and clean until my fingers fall off. Then this weekend, other than (I assume) a visit with
stonebender, I may not leave my house. I may not leave my BED. Downtime, downtime, downtime.
