melancholy
Dec. 4th, 2008 01:45 pmWe all know by now that I love my job, and I really truly do. So I have to
think this lethargy and lassitude is due to something other than not
wanting to be at work.
Which starts a laundry list in my head:
1) Winter is here! (For some value of winter.) I love winter weather, but
it's darker and colder here than it is where I grew up, and I think my
body/mind are not quite acclimated to it, yet.
2) Some non-trivial amount of overload related to social factors I don't
have much control over right now.
3) Sleep and pain issues caused by both my physical conditions and my
needing a new bed.
4) I almost left this one off, but it occurs to me that it's probably a
decent-sized factor: My doctor wants me to have the other half of my
thyroid out, and just making that decision is going to involve yet another
round of doctor visits. I'm so tired of doctors.
*sigh*
Whinge over.

Date: 2008-12-04 10:24 pm (UTC)2 - I hope things even out for you soon.
3 - I've been there. When I moved in February I finally got a Tempurpedic knockoff and my back has thanked me for it.
4 - You know I sympathize with this one. I can't swing a "passed on feline" around here without hitting a doc. My most recent doc now wants me to see yet another specialist. Eventually I'll have at least one of every type.
My only advice on the issue is, do the benefits for removal outweigh the detriments of leaving it alone?

Date: 2008-12-04 10:44 pm (UTC)Is there anything I can do to help get you the new bed sooner? If that will help lessen your pain, then I will happily help in any way I can.
