I'm a couple episodes into season 3, and still like it. It's not always pleasant to watch, but it's the kind of drama I like; the acting is good (not great, but good); and I like the writing.
i own season one on dvd and the first episode charmed me so much that i am willing to forgive a multitude of faults. they call abortion doctor-killers terrorists, and no one over here does that.
although now i am tempted to go watch the last few episodes of season one and see if i can figure out what bugs you about it. (i believe i have watched all of season one, just not in a concerted fashion...)
abostick59 and I wanted to like it, especially because rozk gives it such high marks. And yes, I loved it that they called abortion doctor-killers terrorists.
The burning-girl-spies-with-hot-oil scene was Too Buch for Be (and apparently for a lot of viewers), but I tried to give them a pass.
The way they characterized the older woman spy drove me crazy, but I tried to give them a pass.
Then they ended Season 1 with a completely heartstring-pulling kill-the-kid scene that was completely technically implausible and so maudlin even Steven Spielberg would be ashamed. I was so angry that I Googled to find out what happened, only to find out that all that emotional manipulation was also shuck-and-jive, and plot cheating into the bargain.

At this point, I completely called it quits.
Does it get better?
