It's not all about whining

sereneHappy stuff today:
1) My kitchen's really clean (except for cleaning out the trashbins) for the first time in weeks
2) The laundry is clean and put away
3) The kid's parents finally picked her up in time to have Christmas together, yay!
4) Potatoes baking in the oven. I haven't had baked potatoes in a while.
Tonight and tomorrow, we'll be festivating the apartment so that the kid has a Christmasy home to come to. She claims not to care, but she says that about everything, and she seems to be happy to hear that we'll have a real Christmas dinner, with my mom's ham-with-pineapple-gravy recipe.
