I've become utterly addicted to MI-5/Spooks, but it's a good thing I don't get too attached to any individual character, because they have NO compunction about killing off even the most major characters on this show. So far, a couple have died, a couple have disappeared. They're not fucking around.

I know! I watched until part way through the second season. It was really good, but hard that way.

I'm in the middle of season 4. I like it a lot. I'm going to be a little sad when I run out of episodes on Netflix, but Guy has BBC America, so I may get to watch new eps at his place.

I watched it through the new crew but gradually lost interest. I was most interested in the characters it started with, and when they all left the show, I felt somewhat detached.

I'm in the middle of season 4, and still really liking it. I like the new people, and we just lost another, so I'm curious to see who replaces that person. I think I'd mind more if they weren't in such a dangerous line of work.

I attend my Lodge meetings in the building shown as the MI5 building--which is, in real life, Freemasons Hall on Great Queen Street in Holborn, in Central London. The real MI5 building is a nondescript office building at the north foot of Lambeth Bridge.

Other than that, I've never seen Spooks and probably won't bother as my TV viewing is limited to such masterpieces as Forensic Detectives and HIGNFY (Have I Got News For You), which is a UK "panel" game that takes a comedic look at the news from the previous week. I hardly got to watch the Queen's Speech this year as I was busy serving out pie at the time.

I love television. I don't watch a ton of it, but the stuff I do watch is often better than the movies available at the moment. For my Netflix viewing, I'd say 90% of it is TV rather than movies. Doctor Who, Torchwood, MI-5, Heroes, The Big Bang Theory, etc.

Yeah, somehow they do a much better job than any other show of integrating new characters. It's very impressive that way.
