To tracytreefrog, thanks a million for the earphones! I thought I would hate having something in my ears, but the smaller-sized earbuds really do help! I still can't wear them all day, but I LOVE them, and I can really hear my podcasts, even with noise going on. Even without the noise-cancelling, usually, but I turn that on when it's really noisy out. Thank you thank you thank you. Best sister-out-law ever. :-)

Smaller size earbuds, do tell! My ears always hurt when I wear earbuds, maybe that would help me.

Try the inner-ear type (the ones that actually go in the ear canal, rather than sitting on the external part of the ear). Very comfy, ime.

Yes, that's exactly the type of earbud I'm talking about. Mine are Panasonic, and very cleverly don't have the model number anywhere on them.

I thought the noise canceling would help with all the noise you deal with on the bus etc. I was hoping the smaller ear bud would work. They had some that went on the ear but they were not quite in my budget. Glad you are enjoying them!
