how come I was able to make it quite clear when I was at St. Mary's for each joint surgery that I would not be on a calorie restricted diet and that was that?

good grief, I thought Sogwife was contending with a UTI.

That (UTI) too. Apparently it's not uncommon for a kidney stone to cause a UTI. Fortunately the UTI is fairly mild, and I now have a scrip for an antibiotic.

The CT scan didn't show a stone, but that there likely was a stone which has now passed.

oh, my, I'm getting my medical education way too fast for my brain to soak it in. I have a friend who has had numerous stones, all of them quite painful. hope the Rx does the job now.

Homicidal boyfriend?

Can you convince your landfolk to pay for ant treatments? We just did it in November, it wasn't very expensive, and I've barely seen an ant since.

I love you!

Love you, too!

He's not *really* homicidal, I don't think. I think he just wants the world to go away, y'know?

Oh, yeah. I know. And who could blame him?

Oh, and maybe on the ant treatments, but I prefer no poisons, so we'll see. I do hate antses very very much.

I get the no poisons thing, but I also love having no ants.

Have you tried boric acid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boric_acid) ant baits? They work like a dream on ant infestations.

I hate ants soooooo much.

I second the boric acid. It has very low toxicity if you aren't an ant. It's not much good for a house with cats because it's higher in toxicity for them. And I guess you'd have to not let the guinea pigs run around on the floor until you could clean up after. But still. It works fine to kill ants and it's significantly less horrific than most commercial poisons.

I have a small pet carrier that would be a good size for the piggies. I got it for Lucy when she was a wee kitten but she is way too big now. Would you like it?

Oh, no, thank you. They actually require HUGE enclosures as homes, and then to transport them, you can use an open box, because they don't climb. :-)
