The good, the bad, yada yada
Feb. 6th, 2009 07:12 pmGood stuff:
Bad stuff:
Bad/good: Mom got really sick again and ended up back in the hospital. They're telling her there's no permanent fix, but now that she's feeling a little better, she's decided to make a pest of herself until they either figure out what she needs to do differently, or offer her a treatment regimen that will make her stop getting sick a couple times a week. Go, mom. Also on the good end of that is that my brother was there to take her to the hospital and keep her company some, and that her dearest friends also visited her lots.
- took the day off from work, with their blessings, and mostly rested
- took a nice, slow walk in the rain with
someotherguy - read some of The Audacity of Hope
- ate a bit more than I'm actually in the mood for, but it was tasty
- remembered to take all my meds at the right times
Bad stuff:
- they chipped my tooth when they put in the tube in the hospital, and now that I'm noticing it, it's irritating me
- the fatigue is getting me down a little. If I thought I was low-energy before, that was nothing. It winds me to cross the room.
- whether I'm sick or it's the meds I don't know, but I have some irritating symptoms in addition to the fatigue, the details of which I will spare you

Date: 2009-02-07 09:58 pm (UTC)I had a lot more fatigue and shortness of breath for a couple of weeks after going under general.
I had a big bruise from where they failed to put in an IV, and that actually helped, because I told myself that when the bruise fades that will mean other parts of my body are getting back to normal too, and until then, my body gets to be more tired and painful than usual. It took 2 weeks for the bruise to fade and I was better then.

Date: 2009-02-08 03:49 am (UTC)I cooked dinner and washed some dishes today (in addition to a couple walks). I feel mighty compared to yesterday, and James says I seem more like myself, which I'll take as a compliment. :-)
