It's possible that the two nicest words in the English language are "Stage One". I saw the surgeon today. Anything worth worrying about was removed; the radioactive iodine should take care of any remaining thyroid tissue. Something will kill me some day, but it's vastly unlikely to be this cancer.

Just thought you should know.
