Last time, there were staples. This time, just steri-strips (and, I assume, superglue or something).

So, this is the scar from this time:

...and this is the previous surgery at roughly the same amount of time after the operation:

So one of the advantages of the new surgeon's being, like, twelve is that he has leet incision skillz.

can you feel me kissing your neck??!

I had steri-strips on both my hip and knee replacement, and the hip scar is an 18 inch hockey-stick shaped decoration on my leg and butt.

steris rock!

OH, man, I'm a sucker for neck-kisses. ;-)

*smooch*

My tummy scar is really wide. I like it a lot, but I imagine if it had been done today (and not almost 20 years ago), it'd be much smaller.

I hope you had your first surgery at Halloween!

Sadly, it was a week after Halloween. Wouldn't that have been a great costume?

What I was thinking. Imagine the faces when you answered, "How did you do that?"

I know, huh? The first surgery and the second were only 15 months apart, so either Dr. Gurushanthaiah is Just. That. Good. or the technology is much better these days.
